Size does matter

Like most industries, web development companies vary in size and cost. We’re the size we are for a very important reason, it’s the right size to deal with our target demographic. We’re cheaper than high end agencies who bill you for getting up in the morning, but our expertise vastly outstrips the resources of ‘one man bands’ and home based operations.

If you’ve ever had a site built by a friend of a friend, only to be left without support or a half built website, then you’ll understand that dealing with a stable, mature company like ours can make all the difference. It does cost more, but the return on your investment will be massively better.

Likewise, we often build ’second generation’ versions of websites that originally cost many tens of thousands of dollars for a fraction of the original price. We can do this without compromising functionality simply by using an open source starting point rather than building from scratch.

Company History

Bizar Software Pty Ltd was formed in October 2000. With the help of venture capital from around the world, Bizar released the first version of its Bizar Shop software in July 2001. Bizar Shop has gone on to be downloaded tens of thousands of times and is in use by many companies around the World. 2006 saw Bizar purchase Adroit Internet Solutions, which was one of Melbourne’s larger website development companies and a heavy user of Bizar Shop. The purchase of Adroit has allowed Bizar to focus more heavily on website development and hosting, as opposed to mainly engaging in software development.

Today, Bizar builds powerful, scalable websites using it’s own Bizar Shop product and a variety of open source PHP applications.
